Gabriele Severini has been practising Ashtanga Yoga since 2000. He is a student of Lino Miele and Tina Pizzimenti, the only two certified teachers in Italy .

In 2001 he obtained a degree in “Physical Education” from the University of Rome .

His interest and commitment to Ashtanga Yoga has been the inspiration for attending several workshops and retreats in Italy.

In 2001, he took his first trip to India, returning in 2002 to study two months with Lino Miele in Kovalam beach and three months at the “Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute“ in Mysore with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Rangaswamy.

His connection and commitment to master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois is becoming stronger with yearly sabbaticals to Mysore.

In July 2006 he received the authorization (blessing) to teach the primary series.
